The SBCUSD Board of Education recognized staff members Kimbre Sargent, Director of Categorical Programs, and Angela Quinlan, Pacific High School Career-Technical Education and Demonstration Teacher, at the January 20, 2026, Board meeting. Sargent was recognized for being the California Association of Administrators of State and Federal Education Programs (CAASFEP) 2025 District State & Federal Leader. Quinlan was recognized by the Board of Education for being the National Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Biomedical Science Teacher of the Year.

San Bernardino County Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. in a blue santa hat, Muscoy Principal Juan Ortiz, and SBCUSD Assistant Superintendent of Student Services Dr. Sandra Rodriguez hold a giant, mock check for $5,000 while 11 Muscoy Elementary students of varying ages stand in front.

San Bernardino County Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr., in partnership with the SBCUSD, brought holiday cheer to Muscoy Elementary School on December 9 by distributing toys to all 650 students and presenting the school with $5,000 to be used for the school’s greatest need. The event created a moment of joy for students and highlighted the strong community partnership supporting children in the Muscoy community.
