Dear Students, Parents/Guardians, Community members,

My name is Jorge De La Torre, I am the principal of San Gorgonio High School. I have been with the San Bernardino City Unified School District for 20 years as a tutor, micro-computer specialist, teacher, and a vice principal. I am a graduate of the San Bernardino City Unified School District and I am excited to serve as a principal at our school!
San Gorgonio High School Summit of Excellence.
Our motto:
Expect Excellence!
Everyone, Everywhere, Every Time!
Our school district is focused on “Making Hope Happen” for our students and community. Our San Gorgonio High School staff is determined to do exactly that for all of our Spartan students and community.
We have an excellent staff that is focused on the academic achievement of each student and having every student graduate with a high school diploma in preparation for college and a career. The San Gorgonio High School staff is concentrating on having classrooms with rigorous instruction and high expectations for all students.
We have four school-wide goals for all students:
1. Develop site based common assessments with a focus on English and Math.
2. Improve the effectiveness of our Professional Development Teams.
3. Increase parent, student, staff, and community engagement in the schoolwide decision-making process.
4. Build a support system and resources for our English Learners and low performing student groups.
Regular attendance is vital in ensuring that all students are successful. Please encourage and support your students in attending school every day and completing their assignments.
The San Gorgonio staff is available to help you with any concerns that you may have regarding our school. Working together we can achieve the goal of student success.
We welcome your comments and suggestions. Please feel free to call at (909) 388-6524. We wish you a successful school year at San Gorgonio High School.
