History
San Gorgonio High School first opened its doors in 1965 under the leadership of Principal George E. Lucas. Situated at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains, San Gorgonio is named after Mt. San Gorgonio, which reaches higher than any other peak in Southern California.
San Gorgonio High School is a comprehensive high school in the San Bernardino City Unified School District. The school motto, “Expect Excellence - Everyone, Everywhere, Every Time,” was developed in the 2002-03 school year and is the inspiration toward reaching the highest limits of educational excellence. We are the Spartans and proudly wear Columbian blue and black.
